Acupressure Massage

Relax, heal and rejuvenate

Acupressure massage is a massage discipline that has been practiced for over 5,000 years. It has also been practiced by Buddhist monks for good health, vitality and longevity since ancient times.

This therapeutic technique uses a combination of deep tissue and relaxation massage. It is similar to acupuncture because the same acupuncture points may be used. However, only finger pressure and massage are applied to these points, not needles.

Your Massage Philosophy therapist may also use their thumbs, palms, side of the hand, knuckles and elbows as massage tools. These acupressure techniques help break-up and diffuse the build-up of toxins in your muscle tissue. They may help to correct imbalances, reduce tension, and revitalise your body’s energy flow. Massage techniques include rubbing, kneading, vibration and percussion.
